International Academy of Science

The International Academy of Science is a nonprofit organization that has been advancing science and education since 1985. Its post-secondary education arm, Institute of Science and Technology (IST), offers online undergraduate and graduate degree programs that prepare students with important practical knowledge and skills needed for success in the workplace. The Academy fosters global scientific collaboration through the Science Information System, a platform for sharing and advancing research. Additionally, it has pioneered the Acellus platform, delivering interactive, video-based courses that have educated millions of K-12 students across all 50 states and around the globe.

OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1985, the International Academy of Science (IAS) emerged from a visionary goal to create a doctoral program blending original research with practical innovation. Established by four pioneering scientists and entrepreneurs—Dr. Geoffrey Pardoe, Dr. Willis Hawkins, Dr. Roger Billings, and Dr. Alexei Nicoli Tupolev—IAS introduced a novel degree program centered on inventioneering, the practice of transforming scientific discoveries into impactful technologies for global benefit.

Our Goals

Establish a Global Network of Scientists

Create a worldwide community of scientists from diverse disciplines and backgrounds to foster cross-cultural and interdisciplinary exchange through publishing, conferences, and personal interactions.

Facilitate Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

Provide platforms such as journals, international conferences, and direct communication channels to enable scientists to share research, exchange ideas, and collaborate on innovative projects.

Connect Scientists with Specialized Expertise

Develop a comprehensive database or directory of scientists specializing in narrow fields of study to help researchers identify and connect with potential collaborators for their projects.
