    "Colfax School District is a public school [that] uses the Acellus® program for remediation for students in grades 7-12.  We have used the FUNdamental Math for about one year and are just incorporating the Algebra program.  We have found that students who use the FUNdamental Math program find the program easy to use and grasp the information quickly.  Because of the level of understanding upon completing the program, we offer credit to those who complete successfully rather than our original intent of supplementing the pre-algebra program.  We will be encouraging students who did not feel they are ready for Algebra to take the FUNdamentals class this summer as a refresher and we will use the Algebra program for remediation and credit retrieval through our summer school program."

The lesson is presented in a multi-sensory format that will allow students to learn by listening, by seeing, and by reading. If the student knows the information, he/she can answer five questions correctly and move on to the next lesson. Although a student is moving ahead, the "sticky problems" will continue to show up until the student demonstrates through problem solving a mastery of the concept.
