Pre-Arrival Information

To make the most of your upcoming visit, we have assembled some information to help make your stay more productive and enjoyable.

Location

ASAC will begin with registration on Wednesday at 8:00 am at the Institute of Science and Technology (IST), located at 7930 NW 110th St, Kansas City, MO 64153.

Hotels and Transportation

Most local hotels provide complimentary airport pickup and local shuttling on request.  Many nearby restaurants are available including a few options listed below.   If you need assistance with hotels or local transportation, please contact us.

Computer

Please bring a Windows or Mac laptop for use at the Acellus Educator Conference.

Training:   9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Lunch:     12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Training:   1:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Day 2 – Thursday
 Informal Morning Mingle Opens at 8:30 am
Training:   9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Lunch:     12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Training:   1:00 pm – 4:30 pm
   Training ends at 4:30 pm

Kansas City, Missouri is home to a vibrant community of history, culture, and science.  If your schedule allows, here are just a few of the sights to see.

Science City
Located downtown at Union Station, this science center has been voted best in the county with a 4K planetarium and activities that are sure to give you fun class ideas.

World War I Memorial
The classical Egyptian Revival-style monument was completed in 1926 and today features an impressive museum about WWI history.

Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
Known for its neoclassical architecture and extensive collection of Asian art, the Nelson features art from all over the world and free admission.

Kansas City Royals Baseball
Coming off some great seasons and a 2015 World Series victory, the Royals playing at Kauffman Stadium are baseball at its best.
