Technology Spotlight: Laser Beams That Create, Target Sound
Research conducted by scientists at MIT has produced a laser-based light and sound system that can send communications to a single, specific target in a number of different settings. The system relies on photo acoustics — sound waves that result from the interaction of light and matter.
