Paul Sargent brings a wealth of experience through travel and teaching to the Acellus AP European History course. Paul received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia, a Master of Education from National University in San Diego, California, and a certificate for teaching Gifted Education from the University of California at San Diego. He began teaching in 2001, and has taught History and Social Studies courses In California, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. He is certified to teach the Advanced Placement courses: European History, United States and Comparative Government, and United States History. He has been teaching AP Social Studies courses since 2005. In addition to a rigorous teaching schedule, Paul has an extensive history of international travel, both individually and leading student groups. He has visited more than two dozen countries in Europe and the Americas. He has also been active in coaching track and cross country, has served as an adviser for the National Honor Society, and has served on several leadership committees in the schools and areas where he has taught.
